We do collect anonymous crash reports and usage analytics to help us diagnose issues and improve the app's stability. This data is completely anonymized and contains no personal information or photo data.

Information We Collect

Gallery Roulette collects minimal, anonymous data solely to help us diagnose crashes and improve app stability:

Important: This diagnostic data is completely anonymized and contains no personal information, photos, or photo metadata. We cannot identify you from this data.

To be absolutely clear, Gallery Roulette does NOT collect:

• Photos from your photo library
• Photo metadata (location, date, etc.)
• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Advertising IDs or tracking identifiers
• Precise location data

• Browsing history or web data
• Any other personal data beyond anonymous diagnostics

How Gallery Roulette Works

When you use Gallery Roulette, the app:

1. Requests permission to access your photo library (required to display photos)
2. Randomly selects a photo from your library entirely on your device
3. Displays that photo to you

At no point does any photo data leave your iPhone. The random selection algorithm runs locally, and no information about selected photos is stored, logged, or transmitted.

Permissions We Request

Photo Library Access

Gallery Roulette requests access to your photo library to randomly select and display photos. This permission is required for the app to function. Without photo library access, there are no photos to display.

What we do with this permission: Read photos to display them to you.

Data Storage

We do not use any cloud storage, remote databases, or external servers to store any information about you or your usage.

Third-Party Services

Gallery Roulette uses the following third-party services to collect anonymous diagnostic data:

• PostHog: We use PostHog for usage analytics and crash reporting. PostHog helps us understand how features are used and identify bugs. All data sent to PostHog is anonymized and contains no personal information or photo data.
• Apple Analytics: We may also use Apple's built-in analytics and crash reporting services to collect additional diagnostic data.

We do not integrate with any third-party advertising networks or data brokers. The only data shared with third parties is anonymous crash reports and usage analytics for diagnostic purposes.

Data Security

Since Gallery Roulette doesn't collect, transmit, or store your photos or personal data on any servers, there's no data to secure on our end. Your photos remain protected by your device's built-in iOS security features.

We recommend keeping your iOS device up to date with the latest security patches and using a strong passcode to protect your device and all apps, including Gallery Roulette.

Your Rights

Since we only collect anonymous diagnostic data, there's no personal data for you to access, modify, or delete from our systems. You maintain complete control over your photo library through iOS settings.

International Users

Gallery Roulette can be used anywhere iOS devices are supported. Since we don't collect any data, there are no data transfer or jurisdiction concerns. Everything happens on your device, wherever you are in the world.
